the things they say

This is Christian. He is never at a loss for words. Can't you tell? He always, always has something to say. Sometimes even when he shouldn't. Often (very often) in an attempt to use big words, he uses the wrong words. He has done this forever. And it never fails to makes me smile.

Today on the way home from school...

Christian: "I'm in the index now."

Me: "the index?"

Christian: "Yeah, the index." (then it occurred to me)

Me: "ahhh, you mean the annex."

Christian: "yeah, yeah, index, annex, the same thing."

A few weeks ago, just before taking a final math test...

Christian: "What is a parallelogram anyway?"

And without missing a beat and in his most sarcastic voice, he answered his own question.

Christian: "Let me guess. A deep seated igneous with an intrusional force."

Wow. Not bad :) Would someone like to explain that to me?
