my {boy} scout

Tonight Christian officially became a BOY scout. Prior to that simple "crossing over" ceremony, he was awarded "The Arrow of Light" award~the highest achievement in the Cub Scout program. He also received the Webelos Super Achiever Award for earning all 20 activity badges. He just looked so grown up. Sigh. When the leader asked him what cheer he would like, he improvised (or, in other words, made up on the spot) a Mega Hotdog Eating cheer. (Almost) complete with a belch at the end. Oh my. The only place in the world that you might just get away with something like that :) We are proud of you, Christian! Way to go!
