and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart,
each day your whole life through.
May the roads rise to meet you,
May the wind be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May you be poor in misfortunes,
and rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness,
from this day forward,
May good luck be your friend,
In whatever you do,
And may trouble be always,
A stranger to you.
And if my Grandpa Finnegan (now how Irish is that?) were here today, I know just what he would say to me:
Grandpa: Guess who I saw today?
Me: Who?
Grandpa: Everybody I looked at :)
I think I fell for that one every time. I always miss him on St. Patrick's Day.

I wish you still had your grandpa. Sounds like he was a fun guy.
